Dr. John Russo
Dr. John Russo is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he also earned a Masters of Health Sciences degree.
At the present time, Dr. Russo is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics at the Medical University of South Carolina, and he is a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Russo is also the President Elect for the Southern Academy of Periodontology.
A nationally recognized expert in dental implants and bone grafting, Dr. Russo lectures across the United States, Canada, and Mexico to share his knowledge with other dentists.
Dr. Russo's private practice is located in Sarasota, Florida. He diagnoses and treats periodontal (gum) disease, performs periodontal plastic surgery procedures, and helps patients who are missing some, or all, of their teeth by placing dental implants. Dr. Russo works closely with many excellent restorative dentists in the area to give patients the benefit of the combined expertise of a specialist and a restorative dentist.
Dr. Russo and his wife are the proud parents of three boys, two of whom are fraternal twins. His hobby is saltwater fishing, and he participates in team fishing tournaments. His boat is aptly named "My Three Sons". Dr. Russo is also a musician and plays lead guitar in a band called "Dr. Rx FEELGOOD."

Rose Nardone, BS (hon) Office Manager
Rose moved to Florida from Canada 21 years ago. She has worked for Dr. Russo since 2000 and enjoys helping the patients with their sometimes complex treatment plans. Rose is married with 2 grown sons, an English Setter – Sir Bosley and 2 cats – Sassy and Sofie. She enjoys boating and time with friends on weekends.
Tina Bachrach, Receptionist
Tina was born in Liverpool, England and has lived in Sarasota for 24 years. She has worked in this practice since 2005. Tina always greets the patients with a smile and enjoys making them feel comfortable. Outside of her job she enjoys spending her time with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys time in her garden.
Kristine Page, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kristine was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California and moved to Florida in 1997. She has worked for Dr. Russo since 2006 and has enjoyed helping her patients achieve a healthy, confident smile. One of Kristine's favorite things to do outside of the office is being on the water with her family and friends.
Karen Mullet, Surgical Assistant
Karen was born and raised in Nebraska and has lived in Sarasota for 27 years. She began working with Dr. Russo in 1997. Karen is very detail oriented and very much enjoys getting to know our friendly patients. One of Karen's favorite things to do is foster cats and is very involved in church with her friends.
Karen Sparkman, Surgical Assistant
Karen is one of the rare native Floridians. She became an assistant in 1994 and is the newest member of Dr. Russo's team. She is very energetic and loves to make her patients feel at ease. Her husband of 13 years, son Hunter, and 2 dogs make up her family. When she's not working her favorite past times are reading and boating.
Lisa Gutierrez, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lisa was born and raised in Franklin Lakes, NJ and has resided in Sarasota since 1998. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1989 with a BS in Dental Hygiene. Lisa has worked for Dr. Russo since 1999. She enjoys spending time with her family.
